Alishan, Chiayi, is one of prominent tourist attraction in Taiwan. When it comes to Xiding, it has three beautiful well-known attractions, Tea Garden Trail, Sea of Clouds and Cloud falls and Eryanping sunset. Visiting Eryanping at different time comes with different views. This time Clare bring you to take a look insight of “Eryanping Trail” and tour Xiding bamboo trail, Tea garden Trail, and The platform for viewing Sea of clouds. Despite we were subject to stay-at-home order due to Covid-19, you still can add it to your pocket list and visit it after lift of restriction.

Subject to Covid-19 , Clare is well-behaved and stay home writing articles. Recap all sweet memory of traveling with my friend, Jarvis. The trip to Xiding, Eryanping Trail in Chiayi was a relaxation before Level 3 alert published by CDC.

It’s an instant travelling, so I did not make any pre-study and research until I was writing this article to share my wonderful experience up there. The entrance of “Eryanping Trail” is located at 53.5Km mark on Provincial Highway 18. You can just park your car near the entrance and take a walk along the trail. Nevertheless, you can also refer to my “exciting experience” by another way.

We ask for help to the “utility Google” how to get to “Xiding Eryanping trail”, it lead us to an unpaved road, looked quite steep that made us suspicious if it’s really a correct way to where we expected? So we decided to find another way.

Finally we choose a road just next to CPC gas station, Alishan Xiding. You can also see a tea store called “立馨茶業” beside the road. Notice that the road only allows one car to pass almost all the way.

Think twice before you go up to there by this path if you feel unconfident on driving. It can be disaster when you meet a car heading to you during the path.

Along this path is different sceneries at every turn. We parked at spare space on the half way since we’re not sure if there’s really a space can park. Maybe taking a walk and enjoying the atmosphere of forest is not a bad idea.

First sight came to our eyes is very tall bamboo forest. It reminds me the last time I walked in bamboo forest was at Wugayan Bamboo Forest, Tai’an, Miaoli. It was an enjoyable memorable memory.

Under the sunny and blue sky, sunlight scattered on our smiling face from time to time when we leisurely walk toward today’s destination, Eryanping Sightseeing platform”.

End of the path embraced by bamboo forest is splendid Tea Garden scenery, with my favorite blue sky and scattered clouds. It wins my great admiration for such stunning scenery from my heart of heart.

Just right up to the path, we met a couple who walked down the path. They told us” Today is perfect weather to see more stunning view than here”.

After a short chit chat, we realized that they are regular visitor of this site. Keep moving with our excited mood.

2^nd Pavilion of Eryanping Trail is one of “must visit site” the traveller intended to visit Eryanping Trail. You won’t regret to be here and take picture with breath-taking view of Eryanping Trail.

Xiding has 3 beautiful attractions: Tea Garden Trail, Sea of Clouds and Cloud Falls, and Eryanping Sunset. Eryanping Trail captures all these breath-taking sceneries.

Visiting Eryanping at different time will bring your different view with season’s change. Every time of your visit will give you fresh experience.

Walking on Eryanping trail, can not only overlooking stunning mountainous view, but entire Chiayi city, Jen Yi Lake and Lantan Reservoir.

With the sunshine, we took a short walk on the trail and returned to 2^nd Pavilion to take a break. Suddenly a voice said we were on the live broadcasting on the internet.

A lot of question marks just came out of my mind. What’s she talking about? It’s all crystal clear after she explained to us that there’s cam is instantly capturing the sight here which shown on the website of Alishan National Scenic Area Administration, go check it and say cheese :)

Super cool that we could see us on stream broadcast. Don’t forget to screenshot the picture and say cheese while you’re showing on the website.

Since we’re just right under sunshine at 12pm. Lovely sun express its passion to us and leave us gift of sunburn.

The trip to Xiding, Eryanping Trail in Chiayi was a relaxation before Level 3 alert published by CDC. For safety sake, we came to visit mountain to avoid crowd.

All those beautiful sceneries along the way brought me sweet relief after underwent high pressure in recent.

Viewing different perspectives of scenery from different altitude inspires us how we see this world. Let’s get together enjoying this wonderful vacation, despite we have to stay home to get through this crisis. We can look forward to exciting journey with the prepared pocket list.
